A life of community service

Prabhuling Doddini works in social service and community organisation as the State President of AHINDA Organisation Karnataka and the Karnataka State Kurubara Sangha.

He works to empower young people through bride-and-groom introduction events and employment fairs.

Inspired by the social justice ideals of former Chief Ministers Dr. D. Devaraj Urs and Siddaramaiah, he has undertaken social movements and organisational activities since 2020 to unite and strengthen AHINDA communities.

Creating opportunities for young leaders

Reflecting on the Devaraj Urs era of 1978, he says that since 2020 he has identified and nurtured about 7,000 young leaders. His stated aim is to help young leaders obtain opportunities and party nominations for Taluk Panchayat, Zilla Panchayat, Legislative Assembly and Parliament, and take up public responsibilities.

Dr. Devaraj Urs identified leaders from different AHINDA communities and developed a second generation of political leadership, bringing people from smaller and backward communities into mainstream politics.

In Doddini's view, too many political leaders have focused on advancing themselves and later their children and grandchildren rather than nurturing ordinary young leaders. He describes this lack of opportunity as a setback for young people from ordinary backgrounds.

Continuing the ideals of Devaraj Urs, he works through the AHINDA organisation to identify young people, develop their leadership qualities and bring them forward in society. He reports involving approximately 7,000 young leaders in organisational activities since 2020, giving responsibilities to young people from different communities.

Social justice, equality and dignity

He raises his voice for AHINDA communities, people facing exploitation, those denied opportunities, the poor without a voice, and women subjected to exploitation. His aim is social justice, equal opportunity and a dignified life.

His organisational work focuses on social justice, equality, the rights of backward communities, opportunities for the disadvantaged and political representation.

Building a stronger community network

Through AHINDA, he aims to strengthen organisation at district, taluk and local levels across Karnataka, unite the voices of backward and marginalised communities, and build public awareness of social issues.

His central aspiration is to strengthen the voices of socially disadvantaged, exploited and poor people through organised advocacy, help them secure justice, and identify and nurture the next generation of young leaders.
